Machu Picchu alla Triestina

Thursday was Ognissanti or All Saints here in Italy, so many of us had a nice extended weekend! The Touch of Vogue headed home to Trieste for some R&R with love. Vintage/Inca was the inspiration of one gloomy Saturday. This look was driven by the deep jeweled color pallet of traditional Incan clothing, and the way they mix patterns and textures. We followed the same idea and matched satin plaid, a corduroy jacket, swede boots, and topped it off with an alpaca skully. If it can keep them warm and lovely in the mountain ridges of Peru, then why not at home in Trieste? What cultures will inspire your style this season?
