Hot-O-Ween!

1 more day until Halloween and still no costume?? Not to worry…here are some of my looks from past years I hope will inspire you. You don't really need to head to the costume shop when you can be creative and pull looks straight from your very own closets. Clockwork Orange, Sailor, Rocker and Tribal are simple enough to find the basics in your wardrobe. Adding accessories and a bit of creative makeup can really change even the simplest of characters. I hope this helps you last minute planners. Have a safe and happy Halloween!

Vampires are Real!!

Friday night The Touch of Vogue and friends attended The Dark Garden Party in Via Mecenate. Dress Code: Vampire! There was no shortage of fangs, black liner and blood…lots of blood! Along with our big hair and golden glow, we had the Cullen's to keep us company. Dark Garden was a creepy blast! Full of Milano's finest and freakiest, and no werewolves in sight! An Excelsior Thursday!

TOV had lots to celebrate last night! New found success with the blog and a brand new partnership! What better way to celebrate then in Milan's "Fashion Domain" Excelsior! It also happened to be the launch of their new Thursday Aperitivo.  Being hosted by the social phenomenon here in Milan, Nicola Guiducci and emerging talent Andrea Ratti! They put Plastic on the map and are following up with exceptional success, at Le Cafe Excelsior. The spritz were flowing and the conversations intense! We had a great time and we hope Thursdays will bring about more to celebrate! See you there??

Touch of Vogue enjoyed a night with friends and lovers at Milano's hotspot Tibi. We sipped on wine and discussed, of course, the latest accessories we love! Most of the time Black is the base of any chic wardrobe, but tonight we decided to be just a bit more bold! Time for Market!!!

This weekend The Touch of Vogue hit up the Market at Solferino 11. It's a local market with designers such as Saidiblu and Lampony showcasing their collections. Everything reasonably priced from Jewelry, Handbags, Shoes, Clothing and even Home Goods. Unlike a street market, they turned it up a notch, showcasing their work inside an historic buildings along Milan's renowned Via Solferino. There we were able to go from room to room and see their collaborations. It was an event not to be missed!! We hope to catch you at the next one. R.I.P Red Vernis

So we've all done and continue to do the red hue! Weather it's ox blood, cherry, magenta, maroon, or plum, it's been done. While these colors are a classic, I'd venture to say this fall it's time for a change. Earthy and jeweled colors are seemingly popular this year. They match just about every skin tone and unlike red, can be easily transitioned from each outfit. However, if you have a death grip on your Chanel Rouge Fatal, try doing a french manicure replacing white with red...it's pretty damn sexy!
